Carolyn Bock

A graduate of The Victorian College of the Arts, Carolyn’s diverse career over the past 25 years has encompassed dance, theatre, television and film. In theatre, she has worked for MTC, Playbox, Theatre at Risk, La Mama, and on myriad independent and commercial productions. Career highlights include the title roles of Medea, and most recently Hecuba from Euripides’ Women of Troy for Complete Works Theatre.

Television credits include guest and featured roles in Wentworth, Offspring, A Beautiful Lie, INXS The Untold Story, Dr Blake Mysteries, Winners and Losers, Neighbours, City Homicide and series regular on the children’s series Horace and Tina. Film credits include Vanished, Murder in Greenwich (USA), SNAK, Zone 39, and many short films.

Carolyn Co- Founded The Shift Theatre with Helen Hopkins has co wrote The Girls In Grey and Hallowed Ground Women Doctor’s In War -both plays enjoying regional, national and international touring; Hallowed Ground receiving a Summerhall Award for greatest Fringe Moments at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019.

In addition to her work as a performer, Carolyn is the Associate Director of Rollercoaster Theatre for Actors with disability. Carolyn she has taught for independent and leading dance institutions and has created, produced and directed many dance-theatre works for young children. She also works with primary and secondary students in rural areas devising performing arts experiences, and as a drama coach and mentor.
